Hyaluronic Acid, also called Hyaluronan or Hyaluronate or HA, is a polysaccharide mainly found in the extracellular matrix, especially of soft connective tissues throughout the body. Hyaluronic Acid is a component of the fluids in the eyes, joints, and skin. Commercially Hyaluronic Acid is often made from animal sources such as rooster comb. However, this formulation contains vegan Hyaluronic Acid that is made by a non-animal fermentation process.

CMO (Cetyl Myristoleate) is the cetyl ester of myristoleic acid which is found naturally in certain animals. The CMO used in this product is derived from plant sources rather than the usual beef tallow.
